I’m Scott Hanning. My husband Chuck Quinn and I are renovating a 1955-vintage house in Pismo Heights, a hillside neighborhood of Pismo Beach, California. The stunning ocean view location compensates for the house’s defects: it suffers from a poorly conceived layout and decades of neglect. It will need completely new electrical, plumbing and interiors. It’s a bit of a wreck, and it’s perfect for us! Chuck is a graduate of the internationally renowned architecture school the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), an experienced interior designer, furniture designer, home renovator, and owner of C W Quinn Home, a San Luis Obispo-based kitchen and bath design showroom. Follow us as we restore and renovate this mid-century modern gem into a showplace with a tight budget and thoughtful planning.
